As a non-profit we try to put on a quality event that is similar to national hunter jumper events. South East Hunter Jumper leases national recognized equestrian facility's. We have to meet min. stall and ring use requirements, which starts at about 5K. Judges, well they are great people but not cheap, even when they discount their fees for me. Then we have the medic, jumps, office equipment, ring crew, and don't forget the $2 Ribbons and $10 awards. This starts as much as a year before the show. A few have sent emails about how upset they were with some show cancellations, and we want all to know that we the Staff and Dir. of SEHJ are also disappointed when 6 years off hard work has led us to 2009. We try hard and volunteer for many hours every year so young horses and young riders can test themselves at these great venues. |
